In my career as a seasoned higher education administrator, I have had the privilege of providing leadership in housing/residence life, student conduct administration, and multiple functional areas of academic support, enrollment management, and student affairs at many institutions.
As a competent administrator, advisor, teacher, collaborator, and mentor, I am committed to the academic achievement, career preparation, and holistic development of students of all ages and backgrounds.
Past areas of responsibility are inclusive of, but not limited to: academic integrity, campus civility, and Title IX; student success and retention strategies; personal/individual advising; living learning community coordination; housing operations management; threat assessment and behavioral intervention; strengths-based initiatives; co-curricular development; program evaluation and assessment; career coaching; diversity education; involvement and leadership development; crisis management; and, community engagement.
A prior employee of Loyola College in Maryland earlier in his career, Mr. Burkhalter has returned to Loyola now as the new Associate Director of Student Life for Student Conduct.
