Printing at the Loyola/Notre Dame Library (LNDL) is available to students and staff at both institutions.
Changes to Library Smart Print
Effective July 1, 2016, a change has been made to printing at the LND Library. Due to a technical difficulty, print/copy services have been essentially free for Loyola students, faculty and staff, while Notre Dame Library patrons have been charged for their printing. We have addressed this issue, which implements print/copy charges for all Loyola constituents when using the Library Smart Print service.
How to Print at the Library
- Print your document from a Library computer.
- Enter your Loyola or Notre Dame email address (or account number) when prompted.
- Swipe your card at the printer to release your print job.
Note: Print jobs submitted at the Library may only be retrieved at a Library printer (not a printer on main campus).
How am I Charged for Printing?
- You will still use your Evergreen card to swipe at the print/copy device to release the job.
Print/copy costs are slightly higher at the Library: $0.15 per black & white page and $0.50 per color page vs. $.04 and $.12 respectively at Loyola.
Students will be unable to draw upon their Loyola-issued print credits ($15 per semester) in the Library; instead, the personal funds account will be charged on their Evergreen card daily.
Faculty and staff will be able to choose between using their departmental GL or personal funds on their Evergreen card when they swipe to release their job. Please note, GL chargebacks post monthly, personal funds are depleted daily.
