2013 MISO Survey Results

Overview

Technology Services and the Loyola Notre Dame Library partnered to conduct the MISO (Managing Information Service Outcomes) survey in the spring of 2013. This survey measures satisfaction, frequency of use, importance, skill level and more for various services our departments provide. This report focuses on the technology-related results for Loyola’s faculty, staff, administrators, and students, as well as how we compare to peer institutions.

This survey was sent to all faculty, all staff, 1000 graduate students, and 700 undergraduate students equally divided across the four classes. There were a total of 1,230 people across all constituent groups who participated in this survey.

Service Usage

The survey asks respondents how often they use certain technology resources. Respondents rank their usage on a 1 – 5 scale, with 1 being they never use the service, and 5 being they use it three or more times per week.
Staff results indicated that the Inside Loyola portal is the most used, followed by Colleague and WebAdvisor. Video Conferencing was the service they reported using the least.
