Requesting Transcripts

Transcript Request Information

  • Loyola University Maryland charges $5.00 per official transcript, including both graduate and undergraduate. There is no charge for unofficial transcripts.

  • Transcripts are issued only with written consent of the student or via submission of an electronic request with Inside Loyola, WebAdvisor, or SCRIP-SAFE's Transcripts on Demand, Loyola's secure online transcript ordering services.
    • Due to authentication restrictions, e-mail, fax, and telephone requests are not accepted.
  • Transcripts are released with the understanding that the recipient will not permit any other party access without prior written consent of the student in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974.

  • Partial transcripts are not issued. Transcripts show all work at Loyola University Maryland.

  • Transcript services are withheld for any student who owes Loyola University Maryland property or money.

  • Transcripts should be requested in advance of the date desired to allow for processing time. Transcript requests are processed within 5 business days. The University will not assume responsibility for transcripts that are delayed because they have not been requested in time, the request was incomplete, or the student has an outstanding debt with the University.  

Use one of the following options to request a transcript:

Option 1: Order Online

Current Students

Paper Transcript

  1. Log into inside.loyola.edu.
  2. Under WebAdvisor, click WebAdvisor for Students > Academic Profile > Request a Paper Transcript.
  3. Read and agree to the terms and conditions, click Submit.
  4. Select a transcript delivery method, click Submit.
  5. Complete the request form, click Submit.
  6. Review the Display Charges For Request, click Submit.
  7. Review the Confirmation Form, click OK to return to Inside Loyola.
  8. To check the status of your request click WebAdvisor for Students > Academic Profile > Status of Paper Transcript.
  9. Students will be charged $5.00 for each official transcript. There is no charge for unofficial transcripts.
  10. To view and pay charges, click WebAdvisor for Students > Financial Information > Make a Payment.

 Electronic Transcript

Transcripts ordered with Transcripts on Demand can be delivered electronically to network recipients or any third party outside the network (including yourself). SCRIP-SAFE charges an online processing fee of $3.00 per address for this service in addition to Loyola’s fee of $5.00 per transcript, payable with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.

  • Your transcript is never delivered by e-mail, instead the recipient is notified that your transcript is available for pickup at a specific "one-time" URL identified in the e-mail.
  • Network Delivery: Many colleges, universities, and other agencies are members of this secure network and actively receive electronic transcripts. Please check network recipients to see if your intended destination is a network member.

  • OneTime Delivery: Non-network recipients are designated by you (the requester) and identified by their e-mail address. To ensure prompt delivery and receipt, notify the recipient that you would like to send them an electronic transcript and verify that they are willing to accept it. Also ask the recipient to white list @scrip-safe.com so that e-mails from this account are not caught in spam filters. 

  1. Go to inside.loyola.edu and login.
  2. Under WebAdvisor, click WebAdvisor for Students > Academic Profile > Request an Electronic Transcript to access the Transcripts on Demand secure website.
  3. Follow the Transcripts on Demand instructions, and a confirmation page will appear once your request is submitted.
  4. As your Order Status is updated, you will receive e-mails based on the type of status selected, or you can log into Transcripts on Demand and check Review Past Orders.  

Alumni and Former Students

  1. Go to iwantmytranscript and create a user account or login.
  2. Federal Law requires your signature in order to release your academic records; therefore, you must complete a consent form and return it to SCRIP-SAFE as directed before your first request can be processed.
  3. Follow the Transcripts on Demand instructions, and a confirmation page will appear once your request is submitted.
  4. As your Order Status is updated, you will receive e-mails based on the type of status selected, or you can log into Transcripts on Demand and check Review Past Orders.  

Option 2: Order with the Transcript Request Form

Paper Transcript

The preferred request method is online, providing you with email confirmation of your transcript order status. If you are unable to order online, you can use the below transcript request form to place your order.

  • Complete this Transcript Request Form and return it in person or mail it to the Records Office along with your payment. Please note there is no confirmation or tracking available with this option.
    • Both methods require 5 business days for processing.
  • Make a check or money order payable to Loyola University Maryland. No cash accepted. The charge is $5.00 per official transcript. There is no charge for unofficial transcripts.

Emergency Requests

Emergency situations may occur. To expedite receipt of a paper transcript, we suggest that you send your request via Next Day Air and enclose a prepaid Next Day Air envelope for transcript delivery.

Federal Express and UPS will guarantee delivery of your request to the Records Office by 10:30 a.m. Express Mail through the U.S. Postal Service usually does not arrive in the office until late afternoon.
