Grace, who is originally from Bel Air, Md., says her favorite thing about Loyola is the close relationships she has developed with her professors. Grace is an elementary education major with a minor in special education. Beyond her classes, she is involved in Back On My Feet and is a member of the club swimming and club field hockey teams. In her senior year, she was selected to join the Green and Grey Society and recognized as a 2021 Maryland Teacher of Promise. She also serves as an Evergreen orientation leader and was named 2021 Evergreen of the Year. While at Loyola, Grace created a school supply drive with donated goods from the Loyola community called “Shop til you Drop,” which gave third-grade students at the Turnbridge Elementary School an opportunity to shop for school supplies while using pretend money to practice their math skills. Grace says her experiences at Loyola, including her involvement in extracurricular activities, have pushed her outside her comfort zone and motivated her to succeed. After she graduates, Grace will teach 4th grade in Baltimore County Public Schools.

Grace B
I am so thankful for the Loyola School of Education. I've been honored to work with the best professors, mentors, and fellow teachers for the past four years. I'm confident that I will be able to step into the classroom and change the lives of elementary students in the Baltimore community."
