Sarah came to Loyola from New Jersey and says she chose to major in communication for the versatility it would offer her in terms of career options. Sarah is specializing in advertising and digital media with ambitions of achieving a management position at her future company. She also declared a marketing minor, and after a summer internship with McCormick & Company, she decided to take more business-oriented courses to further her knowledge in the field. Sarah feels her leadership experience—which includes serving as president of Lambda Pi Eta and as the public relations and marketing executive of Loyola’s first Campus Activities Board—has helped prepare her for her next chapter. She is also involved with Loyola’s chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America. For Sarah, the Jesuit tenant of cura personalis inspires her to maintain a healthy work-life balance both as a student at Loyola and in her life and career beyond Loyola. After she graduates, Sarah will be joining McCormick & Company as an Omni Channel Associate Customer Manager on their eCommerce team—a position she was offered following an internship. “Since McCormick is only 20 minutes away from Loyola, I’ve actually been working part-time this semester and already started my on-boarding for my new, full-time role,” she says. “I’m so excited. Loyola has prepared me so well for this job.”
