# Interdisciplinary Majors in Mathematics or Statistics

Interdisciplinary majors may be arranged between Mathematics or Statistics and another discipline. The Mathematics/Statistics component of the interdisciplinary major is described below. Students planning an interdisciplinary major must contact each department to determine the department's requirements for the interdisciplinary major.

### Mathematics and Statistics Courses required:

- MA 251, MA 252, and MA 351: Calculus I-III
- Either ST210: Introduction to Statistics or ST 265: Biostatistics
- MA 301: Linear Algebra
- A one-credit computer course for the Statistics track: ST 365: SAS Laboratory
- Depending on the track selected, either MA 395: Discrete Methods or MA 304: Ordinary Differential Equations
- Depending on track selected, four 400 level Mathematics or Statistics courses (see below)

CS 151: Computer Science through Programming

NOTE: CS212: Object-Oriented Data Structures is strongly encouraged as an elective.
