Resources for School Counselors
Welcome from the Dean
Hello and welcome! We appreciate and acknowledge the vital role school counselors like you play in helping each of your students find the college or university that will challenge them academically, tap into their potential, and encourage personal and professional growth throughout their life.
We know that many of your students would make a wonderful addition to our community, and we look forward to working together to help them and their families to learn more about the rigor, spirit, values, and promise of a Loyola education.
This page has been created specifically with high school counselors in mind. Here you will helpful resources and information about Loyola for you and your students.
I look forward to working together as we support and help guide students in their college search.

Dean of Undergraduate Admission
What kind of students thrive at Loyola?
Curious. Compassionate. Motivated. Loyola students are passionate doers, ethical leaders, critical thinkers, effective communicators, creative problem-solvers. They are as interested in their studies as they are in what they choose to become involved with outside the classroom. At Loyola, we focus on educating the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. Our students are here to define their own path—personal and professional. To discover what makes them tick.
They find support in this journey from one another, from our dedicated faculty and administrators, and from every opportunity the university makes available to them for this very purpose. Students who have a vested interest in discovering how their gifts and talents might contribute to making the world a better place will find their fit at Loyola University Maryland.

Visit Our Campus
Whether it’s your first time to campus or you have visited in the past, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience Loyola firsthand. The information session will provide greater detail about academics, campus life, and admission and financial aid, while a guided campus tour will allow you to see a classroom, dining facilities, library, residence hall, and chapel.
We offer group information sessions and campus tours on most weekdays and select Saturdays year round. To schedule an individual visit to campus, please contact our Campus Visit Coordinator, Maura Brennan, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
