Military Programs

At Loyola University Maryland, we are extremely proud of our student cadets, active-duty/reserve service
members, National Guard members, and veterans. We are thankful for their service and grateful that they are part of the Greyhound family. They have invested in us—now we want to strengthen our invest in them—by providing benefits and resources that will support their Loyola experience and honor their legacy of service.

Greyhound Battalion Fund

The Greyhound Battalion Fund provides critical support that ensures a thriving and robust experience for
Loyola’s Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) program. Loyola students who participate in the Greyhound Battalion enter the military better positioned to follow a lifetime of leadership and service to America.

Distributions from this fund offer much-needed resources and provide our cadets with an enriched and wellrounded experience. This includes attendance at leadership seminars and conferences, ROTC speakers’ series in development and service, field and training equipment, non-issued athletics uniforms dedicated to intercollegiate competitions, and programmatic support for functions including recruiting events, cadet orientation, award ceremonies, and formal events.

To make a gift online, visit Loyola.edu/give. Select "Other" for the fund and write in “Greyhound Battalion Fund."

Alumni Veterans Plaza

The creation of an Alumni Veterans Plaza on the Evergreen campus is a tribute to the service of our alumni veterans. This plaza, located on Loyola’s Academic Quad, will serve as a permanent reminder of the commitment and courage of alumni veterans and will be a place of reflection, honor, and gratitude. The Veterans Plaza will feature a designed landscape around the existing flagpole to honor the service of veterans in the Loyola community, pedestals commemorating the service branches of the United States Armed Forces, and a space for reflection and remembrance.
