Remembrance Announcements

As a Catholic, Jesuit university, we are deeply concerned for the individual and the community. When a member of our community experiences a death in the family, we seek to support, comfort and pray for one another.

Current students, staff, faculty, and administrators who experience the death of an immediate family member may share news of their loved one’s death and details regarding funeral services with the Loyola community through a We Remember. To request a remembrance announcement, please submit the Remembrance Announcement Form. Please contact Valentin Mudiay, program assistant, at vmudiay@loyola.edu  with any questions regarding announcements.

Accessibility

We believe that everyone should have the same opportunity to attend Campus Ministry events and actively participate together in prayer. For those who need an alternative way of entering the Chapel, or gluten-free communion, please read below. If you require further accommodations or need any assistance in any way, contact Campus Ministry at 410-617-2222 or campusministry@loyola.edu.  We are dedicated to serving all members of the community.

Accesible Entrance to Alumni Memorial Chapel

There is an accessible, leveled entrance at the south end of the Chapel, located next to the 9/11 Memorial Garden and Donnelly Science Center. This entrance is to the left of the main Chapel doors.

If you require any assistance or individual attention about one of our events, let Campus Ministry know at least one week prior to the event.

Gluten-Free Communion

Loyola Campus Ministry maintains a supply of gluten-free communion wafers for those who have an intolerance for wheat. Those desiring to receive a gluten-free host at communion should make arrangements to do so 10 minutes before Mass by visiting the sacristy and informing the sacristan.

The Pantry

Campus Ministry, in partnership with the Division for Student Development, established Loyola’s food pantry in the fall of 2019 in order to provide non-perishable food, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, etc. to students who are experiencing food insecurity or financial need. In a world where the cost of higher education is placing greater and greater financial strain on our students, we hope that this pantry can serve as a resource in alleviating some of that hardships our students might experience.

The Food Pantry is now located in Seton Court 02B, under the Office of Student Support & Wellness Promotion. If you are a student seeking assistance with food insecurity and are interested in accessing the pantry, please contact sswp@loyola.edu

The Food Pantry is funded through a combination of university funds and generous donors. We accept donations of non-perishable food in jars, cans, and individually sealed packets. We recommend sauces, soups, beans, vegetables in cans or jars, pasta, cereal boxes, hygiene products, and snacks.

If you are seeking to make a donation, please drop by Seton Court 02B or send an email to sswp@loyola.edu.
