Become a Consultant

Your roommate always told you that you have a way with words. You're the first one people run to when they want a second set of eyes or some truly helpful suggestions on content. You even offer to read other people's papers when they want a peer review.

We sure could use you.

Consider becoming a Writing Center Tutor, no matter what your major.

When you take Writing Center Theory and Practice (WR 323), you will read the latest research on writing centers across the country, discuss ideas that enhance the student/consultant participation, and observe conferences that will show how to engage with a tutee. One in-depth semester will prepare you to be a Writing Center Tutor!
