General Information

Can I still register to crab walk?

We are not able to take any more registrations for crab walkers, but we still need people join us on the Quad at 6:00 a.m. to cheer on the record breakers and see history in the making. Be sure to wear Loyola colors!

What time will Loyola be on the Today Show?

Tune in from 7-9 a.m. on Thursday, March 30.

Where can I park? 

All university parking will be reserved that day. If you are a residential student, you should plan to walk to the Quad. If you are not a Loyola student or employee, please park legally wherever you can find a space on the streets adjacent to campus.

I Have Registered to Crab Walk

What time do I need to be on the Quad?

5:15 a.m. or earlier for check-in.

What will I receive at check-in?

A t-shirt and an assignment to participate in a group of 50 crab walkers all wearing the same color (to comply with Guinness rules).

How long will I need to crab walk?

You will practice crab walking at least twice that morning before the official record-breaking crab walking event, when you will crab walk for 2 minutes and 1 second.

What should I bring?

As little as possible. We cannot provide secure spaces to store personal items for you.

What do I wear?

Loyola gear and green and grey.

What time should I arrive?

Arrive as early as 6 a.m. for the best viewing spots and your chance to be on The Today Show.

What do I bring?

Your ID, posters to cheer on the crab walkers, and your Loyola Greyhound spirit!
