Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is a program in partnership with the nonprofit CASH (Creating Assets, Savings, and Hope) Campaign of Maryland that offers free tax preparation services for the community of Baltimore. Loyola students from a variety of academic backgrounds and accounting professionals offer their time to volunteer with our program, LoyolaVITA. Located at the Loyola Clinical Center, clients can visit us on select days of the week after creating an appointment.

1,035 tax returns were filed by Loyola VITA in 2024.

$1,635,340 in refunds

Loyola VITA secured $1,635,340 in tax refunds for Baltimore residents.

Estimated $400,000 savings

With our services provided free of charge, residents saved an estimated total of $400,000 in tax preparation fees.
