The Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Loyola University Maryland will host a Baltipreneurs Accelerator Demo Day for the second accelerator cohort on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. via Zoom.

The virtual event will feature pitches from 13 Baltipreneur Accelerator ventures. Entrepreneurs in the diverse cohort for 2020-2021 include AfterrHome, AlgenAir, ATP-MD, Blue Bone Jewelry, Ekiben, Equalyze, Hiatus Cheesecake, Infinite Focus, Mentoring Mentors, ProjectOwn, Silent Venus, Sporty Dog Creations, and Supir, whose ventures range from apps to cleantech, to real estate, to nonprofits. Five Loyola students and a faculty member are among the 19 total entrepreneurs in the program.

“This year has been challenging for entrepreneurs to get in front of investors, partners, and new customers,” said Wendy Bolger, director of the CI&E. “We are pleased to offer an event that will make it fun for our audience to get to know the Baltipreneurs, who represent the creativity, grit, and drive our city’s founders are increasingly known for. Their visions will inspire you, and their solutions give us much to celebrate.”

During the event, attendees can provide feedback, experience a musical performance by John Tyler and Friends, and attend breakout rooms for one-on-one conversations with the entrepreneurs.

The event is open to the public, but registration is required. The first 100 people to register will receive $15 in gift certificates from our participating Baltipreneur Accelerator food startups including Ekiben, Hiatus Cheesecake, and Sporty Dog. One lucky guest will win a $50 gift certificate to Blue Bone Jewelry. Read more about how the Baltipreneur Accelerator program has assisted a Loyola student with growing her jewelry business.

More about Loyola’s Baltipreneur Accelerator program

The Baltipreneurs Accelerator program through Loyola’s Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship is helping to build a more prosperous and equitable Baltimore. We work with ecosystem partners to provide funding, training, and mentorship for Baltimore’s innovators, including Loyola students, faculty, and staff, with a preference for women entrepreneurs and founders of color. Competitively selected teams join the Accelerator program to receive training and technical assistance, mentorship, networking opportunities, and access to capital, ending with a Demo Day pitch in early spring.
