Joelle Hernandez, ’14, to Speak at Green & Grey Alumni Speaker Series

Joelle Hernandez, ’14, the 2022 Green & Grey Alumni Speaker

Loyola University Maryland graduate Joelle Hernandez, ’14, will serve as the Green & Grey Alumni Speaker during Mission Week on Tuesday, March 22, at 6 p.m. in the 4th Floor Program Room of the Andrew White Student Center. 
 
Hernandez serves as a senior business development manager for Mediaplanet Publishing Inc., where she leads a team in publishing national advocacy and awareness campaigns online and in newspapers. Campaigns have covered topics including cardiovascular health, the future of education, patient safety, lung health, sleep sensitivity, and others.
 
Hernandez is co-owner of J&J Enterprises LLC with her twin sister, Jordan, who is also a 2014 Loyola graduate. The company is home to multiple brands, including a home baking business, a children’s book series, and a merchandise line promoting diversity in literature. She also gives back in many ways, including as a co-founder of 4 Little Souls Inc., which addresses hunger and education; a board member of Party with Purpose, which raises money for charity through its events; and a volunteer coordinator and contributor for the Hoboken Girl blog.

Hernandez graduated magna cum laude from Loyola with a B.A. in Communication, specializing in journalism and advertising. After graduation, Hernandez served as a young alumni representative on Loyola University Maryland’s Board of Trustees from 2014-16.


The Green & Grey Alumni Speakers Series invites alumni who were members of Loyola’s Green & Grey Society to speak on the Evergreen campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Since 1989, Loyola University Maryland has selected a small number of members from the senior class who demonstrated excellence in academic, personal, and spiritual integration and committed service to Loyola. In the spirit of Jesuit ideals, the Green & Grey Society has served as advisors to the University leaders by identifying and communicating issues of significance present in the lives of community members.
