Loyola University Maryland ranked No. 3 on Intelligent.com’s list of “Best Colleges in Maryland” for 2024. Intelligent.com also ranked Loyola as the “Best Catholic School” in the state.
Intelligent.com evaluated each school based on tuition costs, admission standards, retention and graduation rates, faculty, and reputation as well as the resources and services provided for on-campus students. An Intelligent Score for each program on a scale from 0 to 100 is given to each institution. Loyola received a score of 92.23 out of 100.
“Intelligent.com’s emphasis on outcomes, student engagement, and teaching excellence as the key drivers for its ranking methodology aligns well with what matters most to prospective families—student support during college and preparation for the future,” said Eric Nichols, vice president for enrollment management. “It's great recognition of the excellent work our faculty do preparing students for life after Loyola.”
The 2024 ranking is one rank higher than Loyola’s previous placement on Intelligent.com’s list in 2021.
The ranking analyzed 196 institutions across the state of Maryland with only 24 making the final list. All institutions on the list are accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).
