U.S. News recognizes Loyola among “Best Online Master's in Education Programs for 2026"

Loyola University Maryland was named one of the “Best Online Master’s in Education Programs for 2026" by U.S. News & World Report, ranking No. 64 out of 323 universities chosen for the list. Loyola rose 21 spots, placing the University among the top tier of online graduate education programs nationally.

“This recognition from U.S. News & World Report affirms Loyola’s research-based, student-centered approach to online graduate education,” said Afra Ahmed Hersi, Ph.D., dean of the School of Education. “Our faculty are deeply engaged with students, our programs are designed to support working professionals, and our online learning environment emphasizes academic rigor, meaningful interaction, and student success.”

 Loyola’s School of Education offers online graduate programs in curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, learning design and technology, literacy education, Montessori education, and English for speakers of other languages

To determine the rankings, U.S. News considered factors including instructor engagement with students, surveys of academic officials, faculty credentials and training, the achievements of students entering each program, and the online learning technologies and additional services offered by each program.
