A student at Boston University's Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, Alex, who is originally from Long Island, N.Y., earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola in 2013. When she finishes her professional program, Alex will relocate to Cleveland, Ohio, to complete her residency at Case Western Reserve University. She hopes to one day open her own dental practice in Nashville. Alex says she was drawn to Loyola for its small classes and its emphasis on graduating well-rounded students. This was important to her as a biology student who planned to pursue a health care profession working directly with patients. For Alex, Loyola's Jesuit education taught her the importance of giving back while providing valuable professional skills and experience. She considers the friends she made through her work with WLOY, Loyola's student-run radio station, her family.
