Collage of environmental studies including beakers and students in a greenhouse

Welcome to the Environmental Science and Studies program!

The environmental science and studies programs are guided by the Universal Apostolic Preference, 'Caring for our Common Home'. The programs interlace natural science, social science, and the humanities to create a curriculum focused on the study of systems and relationships between society and the environment. Students who study environmental science or environmental studies will focus on building skills in analysis and communication as well as building community and appreciation for the wonders of the world, preparing them for careers and advanced study in related fields.

We offer a minor in Environmental Studies, a B.S. in Environmental Science, and a B.A. in Environmental Studies with a choice of a concentration in either Environment, Society, and Policy or Environmental Humanities. Please view the curriculum pages for details about these programs.
