Department of Political Science

Major and Minor

The Department of Political Science offers a major (13 required courses), as well as a minor (7 courses).

Students majoring in political science are required to take two introductory courses, Politics (PS101) and American Politics (PS102), and any eleven three-credit political science courses at the 300 or 400 level. The two required introductory courses meet the social science core requirement for majors.

To earn a minor in political science, students must take the two introductory courses, Politics (PS101) and American Politics (PS102), and any five three-credit political science courses at the 300 or 400 level.

Worksheets for the major and minor have been created by AASC.
