Biography
Professor Jess Miller is a queer, neurodiverse artist based out of Baltimore, Maryland. Their primary professional experience is as an actor, director, educator, and collaborator with companies such as WRPG, Motte and Bailey Productions, Fell's Point Corner Theatre, the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company, Baltimore Shakespeare Factory, the Drama Learning Center, and the Children's Theatre of Annapolis.
They are a trained professional wrestler from the Renaissance Rumble Wrestling School, and are licensed in the state of Maryland. In total, they have wrestled in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, with companies such as the Eastern Wrestling Alliance, Flying V Theatre, Route 33, and 880 Wrestling.
Professor Miller hold a BFA in Acting from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), and a Master of Letters and MFA from the Shakespeare and Performance Program at Mary Baldwin University (MBU). While in MBU's MFA program, Professor Milller collaborated with their cohort to create the theater company Fireside Shakespeare Co., which performed a full season of shows during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. They have also taught classes at the university level at both UMBC and MBU.
