Accommodations for Students and School Counselors Affected by Recent Hurricanes

The Loyola community extends our sympathy and support to the students and school counselors affected by the recent hurricanes. We understand that your attention and energy are likely focused on matters other than the college application process right now, and we are here to support you.

As you begin to consider your options, please know that our admission team is available to provide any guidance or accommodation needed. We certainly understand that there is much to consider and it is our goal to provide you with the assistance and resources needed to complete the admission process.

Application Deadline Extensions for Students

If you wish to apply early for admission and are not able to apply by the Nov. 15 Early Action deadline, please email us at admission@loyola.edu. Our office will be flexible with application deadlines and related documents (transcripts, letters of recommendation, etc.) and will work with you individually to complete your application. You can also apply for Regular Decision admission by Jan. 15.

Application Fee Waivers

All students affected by the hurricanes this fall can apply using our Greyhound Application Fee Waiver on the Common Application. To use your Greyhound Fee Waiver, simply go to Loyola’s Questions section on the My Colleges tab of the Common Application and select "Greyhound Fee Waiver." No documentation is required.

Self-Reported Test Scores

In addition to being test-optional for admission and scholarship consideration, we also accept self-reported test scores. Self-reported scores can be submitted by entering scores in the testing section of the Common Application, sending scanned copies of score reports via email to admission@loyola.edu, or uploading scanned copies of score reports to the Applicant Status Portal.

Support for High School Counselors

Secondary school teachers and counselors will be granted extensions for their recommendations, transcripts, and other materials as needed. Please email or upload materials when you are able to. Due to continuing lack of power and Wi-Fi access in many areas, application materials may also be submitted by students and counselors to:
