Loyola University Maryland celebrated its 30th Annual Festival of Lessons and Carols on Friday, Dec. 7th, 2018 at 5 p.m. in Alumni Memorial Chapel. This annual ecumenical service, rooted in the great English choral tradition, combines music and scripture readings of the Advent Christmas Season in a beautiful candle-lit setting.
The Loyola University Chapel Choir and guest artists, under the direction of George P. Miller, Associate Director of Campus Ministry, perform seasonal music from a broad range of musical styles and traditions.
During the service, gifts are presented to representatives from local agencies to be distributed to children in the Baltimore area as part of the "Presence for Christmas" service project sponsored by Loyola’s Center for Community Service and Justice.
Please join the University Community for this very special event. Free Admission. For more information call 410-617-2222 or 410-617-2768.
For those who cannot make it, this beautiful service blending music and scripture of the Advent Christmas season is recorded each year. It was streamed live here during the event:
