B'More Rooted: Where Belonging Begins

B’More Rooted: Where Belonging Begins is a pre-fall program with the McAuley Women’s Center for first-year students with a commitment to gender-based equality. Through community-building, values exploration, reflection, and service in Baltimore focused on women, students discover themselves and their place in the community while forming meaningful connections. Rooted in Jesuit values, B’More Rooted helps students start their Loyola journey grounded in belonging, possibility, and purpose—while having fun along the way.

Program is best suited for:

  • Students seeking community and connection, especially those looking to build meaningful relationships and a sense of belonging on campus
  • Students interested in personal growth and leadership development, particularly through reflection, service, and community engagement
  • Students interested in engaging women-centered experiences within a Jesuit framework, while remaining open and inclusive to all students exploring identity, equity, and justice in Baltimore
