Father Pesci entered the Jesuits of the Maryland Province in 1968, He received a BA. In Philosophy from Fordham University and an M.A. in English Literature from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He received an M.A from Weston School of Theology and was ordained at Loyola University Chapel in June 1979.

Much of Father’s career was devoted to secondary education; from 1992 to 2004 he served as president of Rockhurst (Jesuit) High School in Kansas City Missouri. From 2005 to 2012 he was president of Loyola Blakefield, Towson, MD. Thereafter he was minister of the Jesuit Community in Scranton, PA 2012 and Minister of the Jesuit Infirmary In Merion Station, PA. In addition to those responsibilities, he was also a spiritual director at the nearby St. Charles Seminary. All through the years he offered spiritual direction and companioned many through the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. Most recently Father spent three years as President Emeritus at Rockhurst focusing his efforts on sacramental ministry with faculty staff, students and alumni and worked closely with the School in strategic planning and fund raising.

As a senior priest Father looks forward to engaging with the University and other Jesuit ministries. Hobbies include international travel, the beach (Cape May, NJ) and enhancing his skills in cross-stitch and needlepoint.
