Father Spahn serves as an Assistant Teaching Professor of Theology and Assistant to the Director of the Office of Mission Integration at Loyola University Maryland (LUM). In the latter capacity, he co-directs the Spiritual Exercises in Every Day Life (Annotation 19) retreat program and the Loyola Ignatian Formation Experience (LIFE) program for the training of spiritual directors of the Exercises. Additionally, he assists with weekend Masses at Saint Joseph’s Parish in Cockeysville, Maryland, and offers spiritual direction to priests and religious in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
