In 2023, Fr. Brown founded The Rev. Timothy Brown, S.J. Ignatian Life Center as the organizational locus for the promotion of the Jesuit and Ignatian spiritual tradition at Loyola University Maryland and is in service to the Baltimore community. A former provincial for the Maryland Province of the Society of Jesus, Fr. Brown earned his B.S. from Georgetown, M.A. from Fordham, M.Div. from the Weston School of University, and his J.D. from George Mason University. He serves on the Archdiocese of Baltimore School Board and the board for Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Baltimore.













Kristi Yowell joined Loyola as chief people and culture officer and associate vice president for human resources in December 2023, after previously working at the university early in her career. Prior to Loyola, she served as the associate vice president for human resources at Goucher College and brings more than 20 years of experience in administrative and academic human resources, with the majority spent in higher education. Yowell earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Human Relations and concentration in Supervision and Management of Human Resources from McDaniel College (then Western Maryland College), a Master of Science in Human Resources Development from McDaniel College, the senior professional in human resources (SPHR) designation from HRCI, and the senior certified professional (SHRM-SCP) designation from the Society for Human Resources Management. She currently serves on the boards of Hope Ignites and Manchester Wrestling.
