There are two components to the Ignatius Scholars Program:
Summer 2026 Residential Program
Monday, August 17, 2026 - Thursday, August 27, 2026
- Student Arrival: Monday, August 17
- Welcome Reception: Monday, August 17
- ISP Classes Begin: Wednesday, August 19
- Program Concludes: Thursday, August 27
Snapshot of a Typical Day
Scholars can expect to spend a typical day in the summer residential program getting to know fellow students and deepening the skills needed to start their college journey on a strong footing. Special enrichment and social activities have also been planned throughout the session.

Fall 2026 Semester
Monday, August 31 - Wednesday, December 9, 2026
The fall semester component consists of:
- Bi-weekly group meetings with an academic coach who will provide academic support and strategies
- Weekly individual meetings with an academic coach
- Ten study hours per week at The Study
- Participation in Messina, Loyola's first-year living learning program, as part of their first-year schedule
My favorite part of being an Ignatius Scholar is the amount of people I've met through the program. I was able to meet so many other first-year students—people from different countries, backgrounds, languages, beliefs—and we were all here for a similar reason: to start the college journey.
This is a one-of-a-kind experience that shapes your Loyola journey. Not only do you get a sneak peak at what classes are like at Loyola, but you also get a head start on meeting professors, making connections, getting to know the campus, and meeting people who will impact your college career. Ignatius Scholars are always a step ahead of the game because of the resources we are provided before the year even begins. The program was one of the best experiences for me that I will never forget—and I am proud to be an Ignatius Scholar.
