Forbes names Loyola among nation’s top colleges and honors online Master of Accounting program
Loyola University Maryland was named to the 2026 list of “America’s Top Colleges” by Forbes. Loyola ranked No. 259 of the 500 schools that produce successful, high-earning, and influential graduates from all economic backgrounds with less student debt, according to Forbes. In addition, Loyola ranked No. 95 among schools in the Northeast and No. 143 among private colleges nationally.
The University was also recognized on the publication’s list of “Best Online Master’s in Accounting Degrees.” Forbes ranked Loyola’s online Master of Accounting at No. 8 and awarded the program “Best for Postgraduate Earnings” of all schools.

Loyola’s online Master of Accounting program offers tracks in financial reporting, tax, and data analytics and prepares students for the CPA exam in less than one year.
According to Forbes’ review of the program, “Loyola University Maryland boasts an $82,652 median salary for alums 10 years after starting their program, the highest among the top 10 schools. For learners in the online M.Acc. program and its other business programs, Loyola boasts a 98% employment rate within six to nine months after graduation, making it one of the most effective programs for graduates as well as one of the most accelerated.”
Forbes considered a range of data to develop the rankings, giving most weight to alumni salaries while also including student debt, graduation rates, leadership and entrepreneurial success, return on investment, retention rates, and academic success.
