Interdisciplinary Split Major Requirements

Students can create an Interdisciplinary split major between Classics or Classical Civilization and another major (English, fine arts/art history, philosophy, political science, etc.). The requirements for the Classics or Classical Civilization portion of the split major are as follows: 

A Classics split major includes 7 courses of which:

  • At least 2 must be Greek
  • LT 101 does not count for the major

A Classical Civilization split major includes 7 courses of which:

  • 2 must be Civ. courses
  • 4 must be languages courses of which
    • at least 2 must be Greek
    • at least 1 must be at the 3xx level
    • LT 101 does not count for the major
  •  a final course that can be either Civ., GK, or LT
