Loyola VEX U Robotics Team Enters First Competition

The Loyola Robotics Club formed a VEX U team this past year. After working intensely for over a semester on designing, building, and programming their robot (including a few all-nighters!), the VEX U team entered their first qualifying competition at the state level on February 3, 2017. This was the first time for a Loyola Robotics team to compete against other college teams from across the region. Despite a valiant effort at the event, the team fell just a few points short of making the final rounds of the competition. Great fun was had by the entire team. Senior Loyola student John Selle, Jr. notes:

I have had nothing but great experiences with VEX Robotics this past year. It has helped me to understand the process of designing, creating, and testing a project. During my job interviews with potential employers, they were quite impressed when I described exactly what we do in VEX U Robotics. It has actually helped me to land an awesome full-time job after graduation!
