Environmental Humanities Concentration

The environmental humanities concentration is designed for students interested in the intersections of humanistic expression and ideas with the natural world. Students focus on their interests by selecting humanities electives based on their career pathway and interests, choosing from electives across the humanities disciplines along with electives in the social sciences and natural sciences. After completing this program, students will be prepared to continue their education or pursue careers.

Requirements

  • ST 110 -  Introduction to Statistical Methods and Data Analysis or ST 210 -  Introduction to Statistics
  • Four Environmental Humanities Electives*
  • One Environment, Society, and Policy Elective*
  • One Environmental Science Elective*
  • Two additional electives from the environmental humanities; environment, society, and policy; and environmental science electives.*

*Four of the eight electives must be at the 300 or 400 level. See the catalogue for a complete and current list of elective courses and all restrictions.
