How Can I Declare an Arts Management Minor?
Class of 2027
Please contact Professor Schlapbach and Professor Malis ASAP to discuss your options. At the minimum, you will need to change your catalogue year to 2026-2027. Arts Management (AH 201) will not be offered this current academic year, so an alternate academic experience in lieu of AH 201 will need to be identified, most likely an internship with an arts partner in Baltimore. Additionally, with the change in catalogue year, you may need to take an additional Diversity-Justice course to fulfill the new D-J Course Requirement for catalogue year 2026-2027. Please be aware that changing your catalogue year may have additional unintended consequences for your other major and/or minor requirements, so you must consult with your advisor before making this decision. You will be required to meet with an AASC Advising Specialist to review any changes incurred as part of the catalog year change process.
Class of 2028 and Class of 2029
You will need to change your catalogue year to 2026-2027, and then you can declare an Arts Management minor via the standard Change of Minor form and process. Arts Management (AH 201) will be offered from AY27-28 onwards. Please be aware that changing your catalogue year may have additional unintended consequences for your other major and/or minor requirements, so you must consult with your advisor before making this decision. You will be required to meet with an AASC Advising Specialist to review any changes incurred as part of the catalog year change process.
Class of 2030 and Beyond
You can declare an Arts Management minor after the end of your first year, via the standard Change of Minor form and process.
