Overview of Major

The writing major allows students to develop their talents as writers while grounding themselves in rhetoric and in a long tradition of poetry and prose. Writing majors typically go on to become editors, desktop publishers, lawyers, reviewers, newsletter managers, and consultants, as well as published authors.

Where They Got Hired: Writing, Class of 2015

The Career Center at Loyola University Maryland conducts an annual follow-up survey with new Loyola graduates between six and nine months after Commencement to paint a comprehensive picture of the professional paths each class has chosen. Nearly 86 percent of the class of 2015 responded to the survey.
