Tips for New Applicants

Serve or Engage with CCSJ+YRI and/or Attend CCSJ+YRI Events

While any eligible student is encouraged to apply to be a CCSJ+YRI Student Intern, applicants who have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to the work of CCSJ+YRI and/or our community partners in the local York Road and greater Baltimore communities will have a stronger application than their counterparts.

It is recommended that interested applicants either sign up to serve with CCSJ+YRI (preferred) or attend at least one event sponsored by CCSJ+YRI or by our community partners prior to your interview.

Attend an Information Session

Join us for an information session. The sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, February 7th at 5pm and Friday, February 9th at 3pm in CCSJ (Humanities 142). This will be an opportunity to learn more about the application process, timelines, and the intern experience.

Two (2) Professional References

Students applying for the first time must include two professional references as part of their application. Contact two (2) people who can serve as references for your application and send them the recommendation form once they have agreed to write recommendations for you. The two recommendations must be submitted by Friday, February 23rd at 11:59PM.
