Tips for New Applicants
Serve or Engage with CCSJ and NR and/or Attend CCSJ and NR Events
While any eligible student is encouraged to apply to be a CCSJ and NR Student Intern, applicants who have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to the work of CCSJ and NR and/or our community partners in the local York Road and greater Baltimore communities will have a stronger application than their counterparts.
It is recommended that interested applicants either sign up to serve with CCSJ and NR (preferred) or attend at least one event sponsored by CCSJ and NR or by our community partners prior to your interview. You can find more information about both types of opportunities on the CCSJ Upcoming Events page on the Bridge.
Attend an Information Session
Join us for an information session. The sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, January 21st at 1pm; Thursday, February 5th at 5pm and Thursday, February 19th at 5pm in Cohn Hall. This will be an opportunity to learn more about the application process, timelines, and the intern experience.
Two (2) Professional References
Students applying for the first time must include two professional references as part of their application. Contact two (2) people who can serve as references for your application and send them the recommendation form once they have agreed to write recommendations for you. The two recommendations must be submitted by Monday, March 9th at 11:59PM.
