Student Integrity Ambassadors (SIA)

Lead. Educate. Make Your Mark on Loyola’s Community.

Are you passionate about building a stronger, more connected, and more inclusive campus community? Do you want to be a leader who helps shape the student experience at Loyola? If so, the Office of Student Integrity & Restorative Justice Practices (SIRJ) invites you to join our team as a Student Integrity Ambassador!

As an SIA, you’ll help your peers navigate challenges, promote positive decision-making, and uphold the Jesuit values that make Loyola unique. You’ll grow as a leader, learn practical and professional skills, and contribute to creating a restorative and more supportive campus environment.

Ambassadors act as advocates, educators, and leaders, helping to create an equitable and educational student integrity process grounded in restorative principles.

What You’ll Do

Serve as a Student Leader with Impact

    • Serve as a hearing officer for student integrity cases and help determine fair, educational outcomes.
    • Provide guidance on issues like noise concerns, conflict between roommates, disruptive behavior, disorderly gatherings, and alcohol-related incidents.
    • Encourage accountability and personal growth by helping students reflect and learn from their experiences.

Be an Educator & Advocate

    • Plan and lead engaging programs and workshops around alcohol and drug education, anti-hazing awareness, and Loyola’s community standards.
    • Help create meaningful opportunities for repair, understanding, and community building.
    • Support restorative conversations and educational initiatives that bring students together.
    • Represent the Office of Student Integrity and Restorative Justice Practices (SIRJ) across campus as the student voice for integrity, respect, and restorative justice practices.

Training and Professional Development

    • SIAs receive free, high-quality training, including:
      • Student integrity hearing and deliberation skills
      • Restorative Justice Practices (Level 1 & Level 2) certification
      • Mental Health First Aid certification
    • You’ll build confidence in communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making.
    • You’ll help improve campus culture and support peers in meaningful ways.
    • You’ll gain experience that stands out in internships, grad school applications, and future jobs.
