The Loyola Mental Health Task Force (MHTF) is made up of staff and students who are passionate about raising mental health awareness in our community.

Task Force Members

The Loyola Mental Health Task Force consists of staff, faculty, administrators, and student representatives across the university. We work to ensure representation from different departments and divisions within the university and welcome feedback and interest from offfices on ways to expand our reach and community engagement.

Task Force Liaisons

Along with the MHTF members, the MHTF asks for people in the community to act as a liaison for the Mental Health Task Force. This‌ ‌voluntary‌ ‌position‌ ‌primarily‌ ‌consists‌ ‌of‌ ‌acting‌ ‌as‌ ‌a‌ ‌conduit‌ between‌ ‌the‌ ‌MHTF‌ ‌and‌ ‌the‌ ‌liaison’s‌ ‌constituents,‌ ‌consisting‌ ‌of‌ ‌members‌ ‌of‌ ‌their‌ ‌department,‌ ‌office,‌ ‌or‌ ‌center/organization. Liaisons function as advocates for mental health awareness. As a result, they are tasked with the following responsibilities:

  • Dissemination‌ ‌of‌ ‌mental‌ ‌health‌ ‌related‌ ‌information,‌ ‌services,‌ ‌and‌ ‌training‌ ‌opportunities‌ ‌provided‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌mental‌ ‌health‌ ‌task‌ ‌force‌ ‌to‌ ‌their‌ ‌constituents‌.
  • Facilitation‌ ‌of‌ ‌discussion‌ ‌with‌ ‌constituents‌ ‌on‌ ‌general ‌mental‌ ‌health‌ ‌needs‌ and trends ‌of‌ ‌students‌ ‌within‌ ‌their‌ ‌purview‌. ‌
  • Communication‌ ‌of‌ ‌information/feedback‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌mental‌ ‌health‌ ‌taskforce‌ ‌about‌ ‌the‌ ‌general‌ ‌mental‌ ‌health‌ ‌needs‌ ‌of‌ ‌student‌ ‌population‌.

Currently, liaisons for the Mental Health Task Force represent the following departments:
