Loyola University ranked No. 4 in the North region by U.S. News & World Report
Loyola University Maryland was ranked No. 4 among the best universities in the North region by the U.S. News & World Report's “Best Colleges” guide for 2022. Loyola has been listed in the top five for more than a decade.
Loyola was ranked No. 1 among the best colleges for veterans in the North region. The ranking was based on participation in federal initiatives that help make pursuing a college degree more affordable for veterans and active-duty service members. - No. 14 (tied) for “Service Learning”

- No. 28 (tied) for “Marketing in Undergraduate Business Programs”
- No. 33 (tied) for “Management in Undergraduate Business Programs”
- No. 53 for “Best Value Schools”
- No. 62 (tied) for “Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs - No Doctorate”
- No. 57 (tied) for “Accounting in Undergraduate Business Programs”
- No. 125 (tied) for “Undergraduate Business Programs”
- No. 178 (tied) for “Undergraduate Computer Science Programs”

To establish its rankings, U.S. News analyzed 1,466 U.S. bachelor’s degree-granting institutions on 17 measures of academic quality, including retention and graduation rates, class sizes, student/faculty ratios, and average federal loan debt of graduates. The indicators were assigned a weight or grade based on U.S. News’ criteria.
