Loyola moves up 51 spots on Forbes’ list of top colleges

Loyola University Maryland was named to the 2025-26 list of “America’s Top Colleges” by Forbes. Loyola was ranked No. 259, moving up 51 spots from last year. The annual list showcases 500 schools that produce successful, high-earning, and influential graduates from all economic backgrounds, with less student debt.
Loyola was also ranked No. 150 among private colleges and No. 2 among private colleges in Maryland.
“We are proud to see Loyola once again recognized on Forbes’ prestigious list of top colleges,” said Eric Nichols, vice president for enrollment management. “In compiling their rankings, Forbes looks closely at return on investment and outcomes, areas where Loyola shines thanks to our gifted students and dedicated faculty and staff.”
Forbes considered a range of data to develop the rankings, giving most weight to alumni salaries while also including student debt, graduation rates, leadership and entrepreneurial success, return on investment, retention rates, and academic success.
