Edik

  • Class of2022

  • Major, MinorMarketing, Communication

Edik, from Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, found everything he wanted in a college experience at Loyola. “I thought I might have to sacrifice a rigorous liberal arts education or my dream of playing Division I tennis...” until he visited Loyola. He says Loyola’s individualized encouragement and support allows him to find success on and off the court, as a member and co-captain of the Greyhounds men’s tennis team and active member of the Loyola community. He loves the “nurturing academic environment, small class sizes, the team-oriented learning approach, and professors who are committed to finding opportunities for their students.” Through the mentorship of his professors and coaches, he has served as an honor council representative and an ambassador at the Navy leadership conference. He also interned with the United States Tennis Association and received the Arthur Ashe, Jr., Sports Scholar award, which honors students of color who excel in the classroom and on the athletic field. Edik is majoring in marketing and minoring in communication. After he graduates in May, he will be pursuing a graduate degree in Loyola’s Sellinger School of Business and Management through the Emerging Leaders MBA program. Before he begins his master’s program, Edik will participate in a Fellowship in Leadership & Coaching at the USTA National Tennis Center in Orlando. “I am thrilled for this internship, it’s the next step for me in building my career in the tennis industry.”
