Course Rotation
Not all courses are offered every semester. When you plan your Junior and Senior years, you need to be aware of our Course Rotation. You should especially be aware of which courses are offered in which year. This two-year scheme allows us to offer a wide variety of courses. However, you may need to take a particular course in the year when it comes around. Map out your Mathematics and Statistics courses for your Junior and Senior years now! You can certainly change your plans as time moves along, but you should note those courses which you know you want and/or need to take. Above all -- speak with your advisor! They can point you in the correct direction.
Note that MA 109, ST 110, MA 151, ST 210, MA 251, MA 252, MA 301, and MA 351 are offered every semester.
300 Level Courses
All of these 300 level courses (except ST 310) are required for Mathematics majors.
MA 301, ST 310, MA 351, and MA 395 are required for Statistics majors. MA 302 may be taken as an elective for Statistics majors.

400 Level Course Rotation for Mathematics Majors
(and 300-level courses in the two-year rotation)
Note that O/E refers to the academic year in which the Fall semester is an odd numbered
year and the Spring semester is an even numbered year.
E/O is similarly defined.

| O/E |
MA 421 Analysis I ST 381 Probability and Statistics |

MA 442 Group Theory ST 462 Stat Theory II |
400 Level Course Rotation for Statistics Majors
(and 300-level courses in the two-year rotation)
Note that at most two of MA 421, MA 427, and MA 445 may be included in the Statistics
major with approval from the department chair.
Note that O/E refers to the academic year in which the Fall semester is an odd numbered
year and the Spring semester is an even numbered year.
E/O is similarly defined.
