Hope & Renewal Interfaith Prayer Service

Chosen Generation Gospel Choir singing during HARPSDr. Daniel Castillo, HARPS 2024 keynote speaker giving his address in front of interfaith flags

Each year on the first Thursday in February, we begin our spring semester with an Interfaith Hope and Renewal Prayer Service (H.A.R.P.S.) to serve as a blessing for our Loyola community. H.A.R.P.S. recognizes the diversity and richness of the various faith traditions represented at Loyola and in our surrounding communities. Leaders from local faith communities, faculty, staff, administrators, students and community partners all share together in prayers, readings, reflections and blessings to inspire hope and renewal in the life of our community.

The 7th annual Hope & Renewal Interfaith Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, February 1st, 2024 from 10-11am in Alumni Memorial Chapel. Dr. Daniel Castillo from Loyola's Department of Theology will join us this year as our keynote speaker. We will also hear from voices from a variety of faith traditions sharing prayer and messages of hope along with a collaboration between the Loyola Chosen Generation Gospel Choir and Loyola Chapel Choir.
