Academic support services will be available starting on Monday, January 23.

Math

The professional math tutor can work with students in all levels of math. Students may meet with the professional math tutor once a week. Requests for additional appointments can be made by contacting the director or assistant director.

Students should begin with peer tutoring appointments or the professional math tutor’s drop-in hours. One-on-one appointments with the professional math tutor are reserved for students registered with the DSS office or those struggling academically.

Online Drop-In Hours Starting Monday, January 23:

  • Mondays and Wednesdays: 4 to 6:30 p.m.

To join the drop-in hours, please complete this form during the hours listed above.

ESL

The professional ESL tutor works with students whose first language is not English. The professional ESL tutor will work with students on all aspects of the English language, including grammar, writing, listening, and pronunciation.

Reading Strategies

The professional reading strategies tutor is a certified reading specialist who can work with students on a wide variety of reading strategies. Students can request an appointment if they are struggling with taking effective notes from texts, identifying the main ideas in texts, or reading certain types of texts. (Please note that this is a strategies-based service. Students who do not understand specific class content should work with a peer tutor for that course or see their professors in office hours.)
