- Volunteer and Harvest Community at Oxbow Farm — Sat, Sep 12, 2026, 8:30 AM–3:00 PM. Get hands-on with organic farming, animal care, and community service at a Catholic Worker–inspired farm in Parkton, MD (transportation and lunch provided).
- Volunteer and Learn at the Maryland Food Bank — Sat, Sep 19, 2026, 8:00 AM–1:30 PM. Sort donated food, pack boxes, and build meal kits at the Baltimore warehouse; you'll need closed-toe shoes and the ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Volunteer and Build Community at Second Chance — Sat, Sep 26, 2026, 8:15 AM–12:30 PM. Sort salvaged building materials and organize inventory at a nonprofit that funds job training through reclaimed goods.
- Volunteer and Learn at Habitat for Humanity — Sat, Sep 26, 2026, 8:15 AM–4:30 PM. Spend the day on an active build site doing tasks like drywall, painting, flooring, or landscaping (lunch provided; 10 spots).
- Volunteer and Build Community at Second Chance — Sat, Oct 10, 2026, 12:15 PM–4:30 PM. An afternoon shift of the same Second Chance work: sorting salvage, helping customers, and pitching in wherever needed.
- First Fruit Farm — Sat, Oct 10, 2026, 12:30 PM–4:15 PM. Harvest crops and pack produce at a 281-acre farm in Freeland, MD, that donates everything to food banks and shelters (bring gloves and a water bottle).
- Volunteer and Learn at Habitat for Humanity — Fri, Oct 16, 2026, 8:15 AM–4:30 PM. A weekday build-site day with Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake, same hands-on construction tasks (10 spots).
- Volunteer and Learn at Habitat for Humanity — Sat, Oct 17, 2026, 8:15 AM–4:30 PM. Another full build day with Habitat; this one is filling up fast with only 5 spots left.
- First Fruit Farm — Sat, Oct 24, 2026, 8:00 AM–12:15 PM. A morning session of harvesting and packing produce at First Fruits Farm, with transportation provided.
