Accelerated Program for Current Loyola Undergraduates

Loyola University Maryland offers the opportunity for current undergraduate students to apply to the MA in Emerging Media graduate program, allowing them to earn both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in a shortened amount of time. Ordinarily, students must have a 3.000 or higher GPA and should apply for the MA program during their junior year through the Office of Graduate Admissions. Once accepted into the accelerated program, graduate courses totaling up to 9 credits (3 courses maximum) may be taken that apply towards both the undergraduate and graduate programs. A grade of B or higher must be achieved in a graduate-level course for the course to transfer to the graduate transcript. Students may then continue with the graduate program— either full or part-time—following undergraduate graduation.
Current seniors may apply during their final year, for early consideration into the graduate program. If accepted, students may begin the program beginning the summer following graduation.
