About Alicia Barger

Alicia has been practicing speech language pathology for 23 years. In addition to her work at as a clinical faculty member at the Loyola Clinical Centers, she assesses and treats adults and children in her private practice. She began her career at Loyola University in 2011, becoming a full-time clinical faculty member in 2017. 

From 2001 to 2010, Alicia was a speech-language pathologist at the Maryland School for the Blind (MSB). She treated individuals from birth to 21 years of age that were also blind or visually impaired. Prior to MSB, she practiced speech pathology in Baltimore City Public Schools and in the Infant and Toddler programs of Baltimore City and County.  

Alicia continues to lead trainings in speech, language, feeding and literacy development of young children for Baltimore based preschool teachers for career education opportunities as well as conducts speech and language screenings at preschools in the Baltimore area. She lives in Ruxton Maryland with her husband, Michael (LUMD 96’) and her daughter, Maggie.
