Student Housing for Baltimore Area Interns

Loyola University Maryland offers convenient on-campus housing for college students completing internships, summer employment, or academic research in Baltimore City and the surrounding area. Summer intern housing is available to students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. Students do not need to attend Loyola University Maryland; however, verification of their internship, employment, or academic research is required.

With convenient access to Baltimore and flexible summer accommodations designed specifically for college students, Loyola provides an affordable alternative to navigating short-term apartment leases while completing a summer internship, employment opportunity, or academic research experience.

Accommodations

Accommodations at Avila - Gardens Apartments are fully furnished, air-conditioned apartments located on Loyola University Maryland’s Baltimore campus. Each apartment features three bedrooms and two bathrooms and can accommodate up to four residents. Apartments include a full kitchen, WiFi, and access to laundry facilities within the building.

Dates

Summer intern housing is available from Sunday, May 30, 2027, through Saturday, August 7, 2027.

Cost

Summer 2027 housing rates are per person for the full summer housing period:

Private bedroom: $4,184 per person
Shared bedroom: $3,236 per person
A security deposit of $1,394.67 per student is required in addition to the housing charge. Deposit payment and refund terms will be outlined in the housing agreement.

A private bedroom is for the individual resident’s use within a shared apartment. A shared bedroom is shared with another resident.

Fitness & Aquatic Center

Interns will have the opportunity to sign up for a short-term membership at Loyola's Fitness & Aquatic Center. A fee of $70.00 will be the responsibility of the intern for use of the facility during their stay.

Group Housing Options for Intern Programs

Loyola also offers group housing options for organizations placing multiple interns in the Baltimore area. On-campus housing provides organizations with a convenient option for interns who may be relocating to Baltimore for the summer.

The Summer 2027 Intern Housing Application will open October 15, 2026. You will need to create an online account via The Bridge to complete the application.
