All Spring Admission applicants must complete the following by December 1 in order to receive their Financial Aid decision before the January 4 deposit deadline.
1. Complete the 2020-21 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Complete the FAFSA online at https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa. You and your parent must have a FSA ID to electronically sign the FAFSA. Loyola University's FAFSA Code Number is 002078. The FAFSA may also be completed via the myStudentAid app on your mobile devices.
The best way to provide accurate income information on the FAFSA is by opting to use the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Data Retrieval Tool. This process allows eligible applicants and parents to retrieve 2018 tax return data from the IRS. Applicants who choose not to use this process may be required to provide additional tax documents for federal/institutional verification. Students will be notified by both the financial aid office and the College Board if/when we need additional documents. Learn more about federal verification here.
2. Complete the 2020-21 CSS Profile Application
Complete the Profile online at https://cssprofile.org. Loyola University's CSS Code Number is 5370. Check out the CSS Profile Student Guide for more complete information on the Profile completion process. CSS Profile Customer Support can be reached at 844-202-0524 or the College Board's contact us page.
Loyola may request your 2018 Federal Tax Return and your parents' 2018 Federal Tax Return information to verify the financial information reported on the FAFSA and CSS Profile applications. Loyola participates in the College Board's Institutional Documentation Service (IDOC) to collect parent and student tax return forms. After you file the CSS Profile Application, if you are selected for the verification process, the College Board will email you complete instructions for submitting your Federal Tax Return forms.
For complete instructions on submitting your Federal Tax Return forms, please visit our Collection of Federal Tax Return Information page. Please submit your tax return information to IDOC no later than December 7.
In cases of divorce or separation, the parent with whom the student resides (and if applicable, a stepparent) is responsible for completing the FAFSA and CSS Profile. Loyola reserves the right to request the non-custodial parent to complete the CSS Profile. You will be notified by the Office of Financial Aid if your non-custodial parent is required to complete the CSS Profile.
