2020-21 Academic Year
All applicants for admission will be considered for merit-based academic scholarship awards provided their application for admission is complete by the Early Action filing deadline of November 15, 2019, or the Regular Decision filing deadline of January 15, 2020. A separate scholarship application is not required. Applicants are selected for academic scholarship assistance based on a comprehensive review of the high school academic record by the Office of Undergraduate Admission. Financial need is not a factor in determining eligibility for academic scholarship assistance. Students who are accepted for admission under the Early Action and Regular Decision programs will be notified of their eligibility for a non-need-based merit scholarship award with the admission decision.
Need-Based Financial Aid
All applicants for admission will be considered for need-based financial aid in the form of grants, loans, and work-study provided the family files the 2020-21 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the 2020-21 CSS Profile Application. The information collected on the CSS Profile Application is used by Loyola University to determine a student's eligibility for institutionally-funded forms of financial aid. The information collected on the FAFSA will be used to determine eligibility for federal forms of financial aid.

In addition to the FAFSA and the CSS Profile, some students may be required to provide documentation to verify financial information. Loyola utilizes the College Board's Institutional Documentation Service (IDOC) to receive and process income and financial documents.
You will be notified by both the Office of Financial Aid and the College Board if/when we need these documents.
FAFSA and CSS Profile Filing Deadlines (Deadlines for Filing for Financial Aid)
Priority deadline for Early Action applicants
Deadline for all Regular Decision applicants and those Early Action applicants who do not meet the December 1 priority deadline.
1. 2020-21 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Available October 1, 2019
Complete the FAFSA online at https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa. You and your parent must have a FSA ID to electronically sign the FAFSA. Loyola University's FAFSA Code Number is 002078. The FAFSA may also be completed via the myStudentAid app on your mobile devices.
The best way to provide accurate income information on the FAFSA is by opting to use the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Data Retrieval Tool. This process allows eligible applicants and parents to retrieve tax return data from the IRS. Applicants who choose not to use this process may be required to provide additional tax documents for federal/institutional verification. Students will be notified by both the financial aid office and the College Board if/when we need additional documents. Learn more about federal verification here.
2. 2020-21 CSS Financial Aid Profile Application Available October 1, 2019

In cases of divorce or separation, the parent with whom the student resides (and if applicable, a stepparent) is responsible for completing the FAFSA and CSS Profile. Loyola reserves the right to request the non-custodial parent to complete the CSS Profile. You will be notified by the Office of Financial Aid if your non-custodial parent is required to complete the CSS Profile.
