ATTENTION

RECREATION AND WELLNESS COVID INFORMATION

The Fitness and Aquatic Center will remain closed through the Fall Semester.  The information below has been updated on December 17, 2020 pertaining to the Spring Semester. 

Memberships

At this time, we will be unable to accommodate alumni, retirees, community, plus one,  and any family members of eligible memberships (household 1 and household 2 memberships). We will continue to monitor the situation on campus and in Baltimore and will keep members updated on any changes that might take place prior to the end of the semester.

We are not currently accepting new members or renewals for current memberships. Graduate students who wish to purchase individual memberships will be eligible to do so.
 If you are a Faculty/Staff/Administrator who has a payroll deduction membership, our staff will be reaching out to you individually soon after we reopen to determine if you want to reinstate your membership.
If you would like a refund for time missed due to the COVID-19 facility closure, please email recwell@loyola.edu.

Re-opening Dates

Loyola University Maryland will be utilizing a Campus Arrival Restriction Period (CARP) beginning January 11 and continuing through January 20.  During CARP, the FAC will remain closed.  We will open beginning January 21.  Facility schedules and hours for the Spring 2021 semester will be posted the first week of January.

New COVID Guidelines and Protocols

Loyola University Maryland requires masks be worn on campus. This means masks are required in every building, including the Fitness and Aquatic Center. 
Patrons must use the Loyola University Maryland RecWell mobile app for touchless entry into the facility. If you don’t have or forget a smartphone, you can simply give your ID number or name to the staff when you arrive.
Guests will not be permitted. Guest passes will not be available for purchase.  
Patrons are encouraged to bring their own water bottles. Water bottle filling stations will be available, but fountain spouts are currently disabled. 
The locker rooms will be closed, except for the use of restrooms. Locker rental will be unavailable, and patrons will not be able to utilize a locker in the locker rooms.
Day use lockers will be available throughout the facility. You can bring your own lock or day use locks can be checked out in the Fitness Center.
Area specific capacities and policies and procedures will be posted throughout the facility.
