Outdoor Adventure Experience (OAE) trip leaders volunteer their time and their talents to create memorable experiences for the Loyola community. They are:
- undergraduate students
- extensively trained in a variety of outdoor skills
- Wilderness First Responders (a 72-hour medical certification)

Charlie Yandrisevits, 2022
Born and raised in the dirty jerz, Charlie is currently an undecided major from Princeton, NJ. At Loyola, he is part of the Honors Program and you can also catch him swimming for Loyola’s club swim team or working with Loyola Democrats club. His favorite outdoor activities are paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing and rock climbing and thinks you can never go wrong with a good hike either. Some of my favorite things are country music and food.

Katherine Martinez, 2023
Kate is from the woods of Kutztown, Pennsylvania, where she lives with her four brothers, dog and parents. She enjoys spending time outside with her family, traveling, and trying new foods. Her favorite OAE trips to lead are rock climbing, whitewater and sea kayaking. She is studying biochemistry and spanish and hopes to go to medical school one day.

John Mirarchi, 2023
John is a Biochemistry major from the class of 2023. He is from Baltimore County, MD, a 40-minute drive north of campus. He enjoys having bonfires in his backyard at home with friends and family. When he is not studying, John likes to go camping with friends and eat at local Baltimore restaurants. His favorite outdoor activity is backpacking, but he enjoys kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding as well.

Katie Quinn, 2023
Katie Quinn is studying biopsychology here at Loyola. She’s from Bristol, Rhode Island and basically lives in the ocean every summer. Her favorite trip to lead is stand up paddle board because she gets to be on and in the water and share that experience with others! Catch her at the FAC hanging in basecamp or teaching a Lift class with groupX. She is passionate about nutrition and fitness, and loves reading, dogs and cats, coffee, tattoos, and of course the outdoors!

Hopewell Murphy, 2023
From the small town of Easton, MD, Hope loves traveling, being out on the water, doing yoga, and spending time with her friends and family. Her favorite outdoor activities include paddle boarding, hiking, and white water kayaking. Hope is a psychology major with a peace and justice studies minor. In the future, Hope wishes to combine her passion for helping people and the healing power of nature by starting a wellness center with counseling sessions, yoga, and a zen garden.

Zac Mazuchowksi, 2023
Zac is Forensic Studies major, he is from Allentown PA. His favorite thing about the outdoors is the fresh air and the challenge to push oneself, fun fact he has broken more bones than you can count with both hands. Zac's goal for the future is to become an Officer in the Army then move onto the next exciting adventure.
